Free Computer Classes at the Civic Center Library

The Civic Center Library is offering the following computer classes in June. For more information, and to register for a class, please call 499-6058.

Email Basics
This class is designed for people who do not have an email account. It will cover how to set up a free email account, and read and send email. In this class we will be using Yahoo! Mail.
Monday, June 4
9-10 a.m.

Beginning Internet

A professional librarian will instruct the Beginning Internet class and you will be provided with an orientation on how to navigate and search the Internet in this hour-long hands-on class.
Wednesday, June 13
9-10 a.m.

Opening and Sending Email Attachments

Learn to open an attachment that is emailed to you, and to attach a file to an email message to send to someone else. For this class, access to an email account (Yahoo Mail! is preferable but not required) and experience in receiving/ sending email messages are required.

Facilities Master Plan - Final Meeting for the Civic Center Library

In our final round of meetings for the Facilities Master Plan, join us as we unveil the proposed improvements and implementation strategies for the future of the Civic Center Library. This public meeting will take place on Thursday, May 17, at 7 p.m., in room 330 of the Marin County Civic Center.

Free Computer Classes at the Corte Madera Library

Introduction to the Online Catalog
Learn how to find materials in the library’s catalog. Find out how to access reviews, look for items only in your local branch, search for specific types of materials like DVDs or audiobooks, request items, and keep a list of all the items you’ve checked out.

The Internet is a great resource for locating health information, but not all websites are reliable. Find out how to use the Health & Wellness Resource Center, a subscription database available through the library, other medical information websites, and how to test information for reliability.
