Computer Classes at the Corte Madera Library

The Corte Madera Library is offering several free computer classes this fall. For more information, and to register for a class, please call 924-6444.

Computer Basics
This class is for the total beginner. Learn what the parts of the computer do, how to use a mouse, and what the computer desktop looks like.

E-Mail Basics
This class is designed for people who have never used e-mail. You will learn how to set up a free account, and how to read and send mail.

Thurs. Nov. 29 th 10 a.m.

Internet Basics
A professional librarian will instruct the Internet Basics class and you will be provided with an orientation on how to navigate and search the Internet in this hour-long hands-on class.

Thurs. Nov. 15th 10 a.m.

Microsoft Word
Learn how to use this word processing program in a one-to-one tutoring session. Basic computer skills required (how to use a mouse, click, etc.)

Sat. Oct. 20th 10 a.m & 11 a.m.

Civic Center Library Book Club - October Selection

Brown Bag Book group at Civic Center Library

Join Civic Center Library staff from 12-1pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month for a brown bag book discussion. We will be meeting this Wednesday, September 26th to discuss The Painted Veil, by W. Email Basics
This class is designed for people who do not have an email account. We will set up a free email account, and cover how to read and send email.
Monday, October 8
9 a.m.- 10 a.m.

Beginning Internet
A professional librarian will instruct the Beginning Internet class and you will be provided with an orientation on how to navigate and search the Internet in this hour-long hands-on class.
Wednesday, October 10
9 a.m.- 10 a.m.

Library Catalog Basics and NoveList
This hands-on class is designed to help you use the library catalog to find books in the library whether you have a lot of information or a little. Also we'll take a tour of NoveList, a database library cardholders can use to pinpoint fiction to read.
Wednesday, October 17
9 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Opening and Sending Email Attachments
Learn to open an attachment that is emailed to you, and to attach a file to an email message to send to someone else. Access to an email account (Yahoo Mail is preferable but not required) and experience in receiving/sending email messages are required.

Free Computer Classes at Corte Madera Library

Learn how to embrace technology at Corte Madera Library's free classes. The "Computer Basics" class is for the absolute beginner who is unfamiliar with the computer environment. The class will cover the parts of the computer, how to use the mouse, and basic computer navigation skills.
