Computer Basics
This class is for the total beginner. Learn what the parts of the computer do, how to use a mouse, and what the computer desktop looks like.

E-Mail Basics
This class is designed for people who have never used e-mail. You will learn how to set up a free account, and how to read and send mail.

Internet Basics
A professional librarian will instruct the Internet Basics class and you will be provided with an orientation on how to navigate and search the Internet in this hour-long hands-on class.

Microsoft Word
Learn how to use this word processing program in a one-to-one tutoring session. Basic computer skills required (how to use a mouse, click, etc.)

Civic Center Library Book Club - October Selection

Brown Bag Book group at Civic Center Library

Join Civic Center Library staff from 12-1pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month for a brown bag book discussion. We will be meeting this Wednesday, September 26th to discuss The Painted Veil, by W. Email Basics
This class is designed for people who do not have an email account. We will set up a free email account, and cover how to read and send email.

Beginning Internet
A professional librarian will instruct the Beginning Internet class and you will be provided with an orientation on how to navigate and search the Internet in this hour-long hands-on class.
Wednesday, October 10
9 a.m.- 10 a.m.

Library Catalog Basics and NoveList
This hands-on class is designed to help you use the library catalog to find books in the library whether you have a lot of information or a little. Also we'll take a tour of NoveList, a database library cardholders can use to pinpoint fiction to read.

Opening and Sending Email Attachments
Learn to open an attachment that is emailed to you, and to attach a file to an email message to send to someone else. Access to an email account (Yahoo Mail is preferable but not required) and experience in receiving/sending email messages are required.

Bee there!

Learn about the decline of European honeybees, the importance of native bees and what you can do to bring these interesting and helpful pollinators into your own garden from Master Gardener Glenn Smith. Come to Novato Library for this free program on Saturday, Sept. 22nd at 10 am.

Come to the Fairfax Library at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, September 19^th for an informative program on “The Art of Feng Shui” presented by Feng Shui Consultant and Interior Designer Becky Sandman. At this free program, you will learn how to apply the three basic principles of Feng Shui to enrich your life at home and at work.
