Civic Center Library Book Club - June Selection

For the past three years the MARINet consortium of libraries has been offering access to online articles through Infotrac Magazines, a Gale|Cengage Learning product. We now also have on trial Masterfile Premier by EBSCO which we call EBSCO magazines and newspapers. Both products include thousands of magazines, newspapers, and academic journals. Both products can offer a special search interface for children and students as well as selected subsets of articles aimed at business, legal, or health researchers. But, we can only afford to keep one. Please give them a try, then tell us what you think.
One will go away in the Fall and the other will stay.
With your Marin County Free Library card, you can borrow books, CDs, DVDs, and other materials from our branches; access our online databases from home, work, or school; and access the Internet using our Public Use Computers.
Application forms are available online, in English and Spanish.
Go for it!
Here's a tip for searching the library's catalog: if you want to find out what DVDs the library has, or what audiobooks, or large type books, or music, or just browse what's new... there is a shortcut. Use the Quick Searches on our website to look for those items in the whole county, or in a particular branch of the Marin County Free Library System. The Quick Searches for each branch are also available on each branch page. Questions? You can always ask us a question-- librarians live for questions! We're happy to help you find the information you seek.
Ann Taylor, the Branch Manager for our libraries in West Marin (Stinson Beach, Bolinas, Inverness, Point Reyes Station and San Geronimo Valley) has left one beautiful area for another - she's retiring to the Big Island of Hawaii! The Marin County Free Library and the communities she worked with in West Marin will miss you very much Ann; mahalo for all your incredible work, and bon voyage!
